Sue Gibson
Sue's abstract textile art is inspired by the colour, pattern and texture found in the environment, representing the beauty, elegance and fragility of life. Her sculptural work features abstract, fluid geometric shapes that take inspiration from nature. Her practice is process led and through experimentation is constantly evolving. Sue’s work takes the form of both 2D and 3D, her work encompasses printing, layering, wrapping, weaving as well as hand and machine stitch. Much of her work involves fragmentation followed by reconstruction. Colour and Texture are the continuous threads that run through her work.
