Jenny Rydell

Jenny was born and raised in the seaside town of Hastings and was taught to sew and embroider by her mother and maternal grandmother. Hence much of jenny's work is influenced by her seaside roots. The ever changing seascape, the play of light and form, the holiday makers and the flora and fauna of the famous Sussex Downs.
Jenny completed her City and Guilds at South Trafford college in 2001. She has been exhibiting ever since. An active member of Altrincham rambers' club Jenny enjoys the many varieties of countryside and features of Lancashire and Cheshire.

Jenny works mainly with natural fabrics, paint and applique, often embellished with buttons and beads. Her medium is machine embroidery. Her style might be said to be quirky or naȉve.
