Angela Oswald

My inspirations mainly come from two quite different sources.

The first is influenced very much by my watercolour paintings of flowers and organic forms. I enjoy capturing the wide variety of shapes and colours found in nature and my garden. This work is often representative of flowers from bud through to flower and then seed head capturing the changing seasons.

The second source loves the structure and formality of lines and grids found in today’s modern architecture and artefacts. The patterns found in these objects allow me to explore abstract design in colour and texture.

Both these influences in my work let me explore a variety of colour palettes, stitch and textile techniques.
